75th Annual Meeting: Important Notice

Dear Mid-Atlantic Section Members/MA-AUA Annual Meeting Registrants,

Please be advised that the Mid-Atlantic Section Annual Meeting, scheduled for September 14-17, 2017 in Amelia Island, FL, has been rescheduled.  

Section leadership made this decision based on public safety advisories, flight cancellations, discussions with the conference hotel and other contributing factors indicating that Hurricane Irma will continue to pose a significant and imminent threat to Amelia Island and the vicinity in the coming days.  The safety of all attendees, faculty, industry partners, vendors and hotel staff has guided this difficult decision.

New Date 

We are pleased to announce that the MA-AUA Section Annual Meeting has been rescheduled for March 1-3, 2018 at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort. 

Registration & Meeting Fees 

For your convenience, your registration will automatically transfer to the new rescheduled meeting. Should you be unable to attend the rescheduled Annual Meeting, you may cancel your registration—and receive a full refund—by e-mailing

Hotel Reservations & Refunds

The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort will issue reservation refunds due to storm-related cancellations.  Please note that you will need to re-book your hotel stay for the revised Annual Meeting dates.  Please wait until at least Wednesday, September 13 to phone the hotel at (904) 261-6161 to reschedule. Any resort activities booked through the Omni Amelia Island, including Golf and Tennis, will also be cancelled with your reservation.

Air Travel & Transportation

You will need to contact your airline directly to request a refund or modification to your reservation.  For your convenience, a list of airlines that service the Jacksonville, FL airport is listed below. 

If you made any other travel related reservations, including rental car or shuttle, you will need to contact the travel company directly to cancel or modify your reservation.


Additional Reminders

Please remember to cancel any other reservations you may have made in association with your travel to the Mid-Atlantic Section Annual Meeting. This might include restaurant reservations or other off-site excursions.
