Optional Ultrasound Training
(no extra cost involved)
The increasing use of diagnostic ultrasound in urology indicates even greater importance for the urologists to demonstrate proficiency in performing and documenting studies. This optional course is designed to provide urologists with the knowledge and skills for performing urologic ultrasound with a focus on renal and bladder. There will be a combination of didactic training, hands-on instruction and evaluation of proficiency.
The schedule and related credits for this training is as follows:
- Didactic Training
Friday, October 19, 2007 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM
Attendees to this session will receive CME credit and an evaluation of proficiency test will follow this session.
- Hands-On Training
Saturday, October 20, 2007 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Attendees to this session will receive CME credit and a Skills Level II Verification of skills, through the American Urological Association, will be provided to those who have also attended the Didactic session and have passed the evaluation of proficiency test. The Hands-On Training session would be open for those who have attended the Didactic Training session.
The Hands-On session is supported by GE Healthcare.
PLEASE NOTE
- The Didactic portion of this program on Friday has unlimited seating.
- The Saturday Hands-On session, due to a limited number of stations, is now full. Those who sign on for the program will be put on a waiting list for the Hands-On portion but are welcome to attend the Didactic session. Please check with the registration desk upon arrival to the meeting on your status for the Hands-On session.
